Whispers from the Forest – Building Bridges Through Stories of Our Nature
This project aims to promote respect for native knowledge and cultural diversity while raising environmental awareness and sustainability.
By recognizing the importance of local stories, traditions, and ecological wisdom, it empowers communities, enhances their self-esteem, strengthens their connection with nature, and can generate economic benefits.
The project encourages children to revive and value their ancestral stories, as well as exchange knowledge and experiences with other cultures. This is done by fostering exchange that links indigenous and contemporary communities, at a local level and global one.
We promote appreciation for diversity as a strength and foster global interconnectedness.
The underlying hypothesis is that integrating diverse narratives helps children appreciate different experiences, cultivating openness, empathy, and respect. Through storytelling about nature, biodiversity, and forestry, the project sparks curiosity, environmental stewardship, and cultural understanding, shaping future generations that love their environment and respect differences.
Overall, our goal is to build a global community that values diversity, promotes ecological responsibility, and collaborates to protect natural spaces for future generations.
Completing the circle.
We aim to include the participation of industry and research parties so that ancestral knowledge can be further analyzed and, when appropriate, retrofitted. This creates a cycle of connectedness, ensuring that traditional wisdom informs contemporary practices and innovations.
